Cybersecurity should be a part of the DNA of any size business.

While the importance of strong cybersecurity is no longer a question in today’s disturbing threat landscape, what can be less clear is how organizations should drive a culture of security that begins with leadership and is followed by all.

As Cybersecurity Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remind you that everyone can make a difference if you Do Your Part #BeCyberSmart. Whether you have just a minute, an hour, or a day, there are numerous ways to support cybersecurity awareness at home, at work, and in your community. PCA is here to help you keep an emphasis on the importance of having a healthy security posture. We care about your safety and are always here to help.

The theme of the final week of Cybersecurity Awareness Month is Cybersecurity First. For business, that means building security into products and processes, making cybersecurity training a part of employee onboarding, and equipping staff with the tools they need to keep the organization safe. Simply put, cybersecurity should not be an afterthought!

Here are a few ways the National Cyber Security Alliance recommends promoting cyber awareness:

  • Host or participate in a training for your organization to discuss smart digital practices and relevant cybersecurity issues. PCA is proud to offer Cybersecurity Awareness Trainings each month. Sign up for our next one!
  • Print Cybersecurity Awareness Month resources and display them in areas where employees spend time online. PCA also suggests using our Cybersecurity Self-Assessment Tool to help you identify any current gaps or weaknesses.

Implementing strong security practices, raising community awareness, educating vulnerable audiences, and training employees are just a few more of the ways to strengthen the cybersecurity culture within your organization.

At PCA, we’re not just your IT provider, we’re your IT partner! Part of that relationship is that we provide educational opportunities that allow you to simplify your experiences when it comes to leveraging technology for your operations.
