Did you know that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?
It’s true! In October of 2004, the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security launched Cybersecurity Awareness Month as a broad effort to help the world stay safer and more secure online.
The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) builds strong partnerships to create and implement broad-reaching education and awareness efforts to empower users with the information they need to keep themselves, their organizations, their systems, and their sensitive information safe while encouraging a culture of cybersecurity.
Their mission to educate and create the right behaviors is similar to our mission at PCA. We are passionate about educating individuals on cybersecurity best practices and amplifying collective efforts to increase overall awareness.
The overarching theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021 is, “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” The PCA team has put together a portfolio of our cybersecurity recommendations. The goal is for you to understand our layered set of easy-to-deploy threat protection tools and services. These are proven safeguards against modern threats and they will help you meet compliance requirements. You can learn more about cybersecurity and download this resource by visiting this webpage.
In today’s world, cybersecurity has to be a layered approach. Installing an antivirus or setting up a firewall no longer provides the proper amount of protection and it’s critical that you understand your core cybersecurity needs.
At PCA, we offer managed services for any of your cybersecurity needs. As you hopefully put emphasis on your own cybersecurity posture this month we suggest you utilize our Cybersecurity Awareness Training, Cybersecurity Self-Assessment, and Multi-Factor Authentication Free 60-Day Trial! We can start protecting you right away.
